The weatherman had also predicted light to medium rainfall in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana and parts of Rajasthan mainly for March 1 and 2. In addition, thunderstorms and gusty winds along with hailstorms have also been predicted in isolated places for March 2.
The minimum temperature is expected to settle at 7 degrees Celsius while the maximum might reach 27 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The weatherman has predicted clear skies for the day.
Delhi weather update: The national capital on Friday recorded a minimum temperature at 12.3 degrees Celsius, four notces above the seasonal average, the India Meteorological Department said.
The average maximum temperature in Delhi this month stood at 17.7 degrees Celsius, the lowest in 13 years, according to an official data till Tuesday. The average minimum temperature in the national capital during the same period was pegged at 6.2 degrees Celsius, the second lowest in 13 years.
Traffic movement in several parts of south Bengal was affected in the morning hours of Monday owing to moderate to dense fog.

Uttar Pradesh weather: According to the IMD, a cold day or severe cold day is considered based on two parameters: a minimum temperature of under 10 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature that is 4.5 degrees Celsius or 6.4 degrees below normal, respectively.
Chennai weather updates: In Thoothukudi, rainfall persists through the night, causing 40 lakes in the Kovilpatti area to reach full capacity. The IMD forecasts thunderstorms and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on December 19.
Tamil Nadu weather: As per IMD prediction, heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Pudukottai and Thanjavur districts of Tamil Nadu on December 18.
Delhi had witnessed rainfall on Monday evening, bringing slight relief to the residents from the 'Severe' air pollution. The air quality improved to 'Very Poor' category in several areas of the city this morning.
Meanwhile, the weatherman has also predicted an increase in fog in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab from November 28.
Due to continuous rainfall and waterlogging, various districts in Tamil Nadu have declared a holiday for November 23. Students and parents are advised to stay in touch with school authorities for further updates.
District administrations and district disaster management authorities in notices asked people to be alert and take precautionary measures against any eventuality that can be caused due to the rain. The state is likely to experience heavy rainfall till Saturday.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that floods of such magnitude are statistically likely to occur once in 100 years. Heavy rainfall and floods have displaced almost half a million people in Somalia and caused extensive damage to the infrastructure.
Delhi NCR rains: Delhi government decided to carry out artificial rain to combat the air pollution in the city, said officials. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has also fielded ministers to ensure the implementation of anti-pollution measures.
