Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was criticized for canceling the concession given on train tickets to senior citizens.
The IRMS (Main) exam will consist of four papers of conventional essay-type questions in subject sets. The first will have two qualifying papers of 300 marks each -- Paper A on one of the Indian languages selected by the candidate and Paper B on English.

Railways news: In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the purchase order for 39,000 wheels for LHB coaches has been placed by the Indian Railways with Taiyuan, China against a global tender.
Indian Railways has put on track “Swadesh Darshan Train”, having both AC and non-AC coaches, for the journey, beginning from October 10 (Monday) to October 20 (Thursday) from Darbhnaga.
