Congress president Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP of trying to create a 'hyper nationalistic environment' ahead of the Lok Sabha polls only to distract people from the issues of unemployment, agrarian crisis and what he called 'massive failures' of the Modi government.
Taking to Twitter, citing a media report which claimed that for 750 kg of onion, a farmer was given Rs 1040 in Maharashtra, the Congress scion wrote: "Modiji is making two Hindustans. One is the Hindustan for Anil Ambani, other is for farmers".
"Rafale is an open and shut case and there is only one man who has done corruption," Rahul Gandhi said.
"Under this PM, the CBI is a weapon of political vendetta. An institution in terminal decline that’s at war with itself," he said.
On Monday, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had refused to give details on the multi-billion defence acquisition deal in Parliament arguing that being an Inter-Governmental Agreement, it was "classified information".
Reaching out to the youth, he said as "it is stated that the Congress is a grand old party we will make it a grand old and young party... we will fight all hatred with love."
