A PIL seeking stay on the Rafale fighter jet deal between India with France has been filed by advocate ML Sharma.
The opposition party also demanded a probe by the Joint Parliamentary Committee into the deal.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi clubbed demonetisation with Rafale deal to allege that these were 'scams' meant to favour what he called 'crony capitalists' close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Dear Mr. Jaitley, I guess your boss refused to hold a Joint Parliamentary Committee on the GREAT RAFALE ROBBERY? Too much to hide, too scared to face the people, I suppose...,” Gandhi scion tweeted on Thursday.

Congress has no answer to Jaitley's assertion that the basic price at which NDA government acquired the Rafale aircraft was 20% cheaper than what was approved by the UPA regime.

Earlier on Wednesday, Jaitley had said that Gandhi had converted the Rafale issue into a non-serious debate.
There were lengthy negotiations between the then UPA government and Dassault on prices and transfer of technology. The final negotiations continued till early 2014 but the deal could not go through.
Anil Ambani made these remarks while responding a question on why he chose to exclude the Congress president in the Rs 5,000-crore defamation case filed by his company on the Rafale deal.
Jaitley, who recently resumed his role as the Union minister after surgery, posed 15 questions to the Congress party, claiming that they will expose their falsehood on Rafale.
Quantum in defence is always large. Therefore, quantum doesn’t mean anything. Please produce a shred of evidence that Government of India has anything to do with any of the offset suppliers for any contract, whether under UPA or NDA
The finance minister said that Rahul Gandhi is himself not sure about what price of the jet to quote.
Chaturvedi also slammed Parrikar for his alleged flip-flop on the Rafale deal, accusing him of going into hiding over the alleged scam.
Once again raising the job issue Gandhi said China creates 50,000 jobs a day, while India creates only 450.
