Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday took a swipe at the government over the Rafale fighter jet deal, saying karma is the ledger of one's action and no one can escape it.
The Centre has told the Supreme Court that "categorical and emphatic" findings recorded by the top court in its December 14 last year verdict in the Rafale deal case has no apparent error warranting its review.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday expressed regret again for "incorrectly" attributing his 'chowkidar chor hai' remark to the Supreme Court and accused BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi of trying to drag the court into a political controversy for "personal gains and political mileage" by moving the contempt petition against him.
"I am happy and I have been saying so for months that Hindustan’s PM has given the air force money to (industrialist) Anil Ambani, and the SC has accepted it. The SC is going to investigate it," he said.
Sitharaman claimed that Rahul Gandhi at a public rally today said PM Modi has been proven to be guilty of corruption in the Rafale fighter jet deal and of giving air force money to Anil Ambani.
The government is scheduled to table the CAG report on Rafale jet fighter deal, which has generated a massive political controversy, in Parliament on Tuesday, sources said.
"He's driven by fear. It's this fear that is making him corrupt & destroy key institutions," the Congress chief alleged.
Addressing a public rally in Solapur after launching a slew of infra projects, Modi asked the Congress to clarify what was driving its ongoing allegations on the Rafale fighter jet deal.
"There have been several allegations over the Rafale fighter jet deal and I do not know how the Supreme Court has given a clean chit. But I know the Modi government has refused pay hike for jawans," the Sena chief said.
The Congress on Monday gave notices of breach of privilege in both Houses of Parliament, demanding an explanation from the government on why it provided the Supreme Court "wrong" information on the Rafale deal.
Sources said Yogi Adityanath, Devendra Fadanvis, Vijay Rupani, Sarbananda Sonowal, its chief ministers in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Assam, respectively, will address the media in Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Agartala respectively.
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah on Friday said he did not see the Rafale deal remaining an election issue in view of the verdict given by the Supreme court.
The Supreme Court order giving the government a clean chit on the Rafale deal is not a setback as the issue is still live in the "people's court" and the Congress will continue to raise it in Parliament, senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Friday.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had reserved its verdict on a batch of pleas on November 14.
The party also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "squandering national interest" in the deal to purchase 36 fighter jets from France.

On the last day of campaigning in the poll-bound state of Chhattisgarh, the Congress scion alleged that industrialist Anil Ambani's only qualification to bag the contract was his friendship with the 'chowkidar' PM.
"Rafale is an open and shut case and there is only one man who has done corruption," Rahul Gandhi said.
