After a prolonged closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, all schools in Puducherry are set to reopen on January 4, Agriculture and Education Minister R Kamalakannan said on Wednesday.

Cyclone Nivar: Three persons were killed and an equal number injured as the very severe cyclonic storm Nivar wreaked havoc in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Thursday. According to the Tamil Nadu government, three persons lost their lives due to rain related incidents and three got injured.
