A day after Trai held its ground on spectrum pricing, Broadband India Forum (BIF) on Tuesday said it firmly believes spectrum prices recommended by the telecom regulator are "extremely high" with potential to dampen 5G plans, and urged policymakers to take a calibrated view on the issue.
Sources in TRAI said that a holistic view should be taken on the pricing of 5G spectrum and the prospective business opportunities it offers, which it has done in its current spectrum recommendations, thereby indicating that there may not be much scope for any further revision of price from its side.
Petrol prices reached an all-time high of Rs 89.69 in Mumbai whereas the diesel prices stood at Rs 78.42 in the financial capital.
The revised prices of petrol and diesel in Delhi stood at Rs 81.91/litre and Rs 73.72/litre.
Petrol reached Rs 81.28 per litre (increase by Rs 0.28/litre) and diesel prices stood at Rs 73.30 per litre (increase by Rs 0.22/litre).
As per revised rates, petrol and diesel prices in Delhi stood at Rs 80.50 per litre and Rs 72.61 per litre respectively.
