A communication from Governor's office was sent to the Central government and subsequently it was moved to the Union Cabinet for its nod.
J&K was brought under governor's rule on Wednesday. The development has come a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pulled out of its alliance with the PDP.
"I have clearly said that if the Narendra Modi government comes to power after the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 then it will invite President's rule in the country," Patel said.
