Oli's return to power came through an overnight coalition deal struck with the Nepali Congress led by Sher Bahadur Deuba, after which he withdrew support from Prachanda's ruling government. Prachanda lost the vote of confidence on Friday, his fifth attempt, by securing only 63 votes.
