An Uttar Pradesh Police constable, accused in the assault and murder of the Unnao rape survivor's father, on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court challenging the charges filed against him.
Police head constable Abdul Gani, who was posted at the Bhim Police Station, had gone to Hamela ki Ber village while investigating a case.
The accused has now been been granted bail and an inter-departmental inquiry will be initiated against him.
