Before this, each pesticide had to be approved by the Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee which would take 18-24 months.
In order to increase the quality of vegetables, Jammu and Kashmir government is working towards reviving the vermicompost culture in the Union Territory. As the vermicompost culture can be beneficial for the farmers, Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture Scientists and Technology (SKUAST) is working towards creating awareness for the same.
Helicopter has been deployed in Jaisalmer for locust control operation on July 05. Pesticides were loaded in the helicopter for aerial spraying.
