In the wake of northeast Delhi violence, the Delhi government on Monday constituted a nine-member Peace and Harmony Committee.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu too said a new world of peace and sustainable development could be founded if teachings of the Sikh Guru were integrated in daily lives. "Peace and harmony is the only way forward to ensure a prosperous future. The Kartarpur model may be replicated in future too for lasting resolution of conflicts," the former PM said
The rally was organised by the Army and the district administration. District development commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana; commander of 9 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Brigadier Vikram Bhan; and SSP Kishtwar, Shakti Kumar Pathak, flagged off the rally from Chowgan Ground, an official spokesperson said.
The event was organised by HWPL which was attended by more than 100 participants including school principals, students
“What is the purpose of education? It seems education could not instill compassion and kindness in human being. Something must have gone wrong in our education system,” he said.
