Special CBI Judge O P Saini put up the matter for November 1 after the counsel appearing for agencies sought an adjournment in the matter.
This is the fourth time the senior Congress leader is being questioned in the probe. He was last grilled for about six hours on August 24.
The Congress leader in an application levied allegations that the CBI only wanted media trial and was not interested in a fair probe.
The Aircel-Maxis cases pertains to grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance to firm M/S Global Communication Holding Services Ltd in 2006 for investment in Aircel.
"Truth has triumphed. The back series calculation of GDP has proved that the best years of economic growth were the UPA years 2004-2014," Chidambaram said in a tweet.
"There was a time when all that the Congress had to do was to mention the name of Jawaharlal Nehru or Indira Gandhi and then millions of people would simply come to the booth and vote," Chidambaram said.
Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said the government is misusing its power and authority as well as the agencies.
The former finance minister's comments came a day after a Delhi court extended the protection from arrest granted to P Chidambaram and his son Karti in the case till August 7.
Chidambaram had moved the court on May 30, seeking protection from arrest in the money laundering case.
The finger of suspicion pointed at some persons working in the residence of the former Finance Minister, who has police security for his house, an official said.
The interim protection which was earlier granted till Tuesday has now been extended by a month by Justice AK Pathak.

The agency has alleged irregularities in the clearance of foreign investment in INX media, a venture promoted by former media baron Peter Mukerjea and his wife Indrani, both probed by the CBI in connection with the murder of their daughter Sheena Bora, sources said.
Chidambaram, who was considered one of the most powerful ministers in the previous UPA government, was questioned by the probe agency for over six hours.
Chidambaram's role has come under the scanner in the Rs 3,500 crore Aircel-Maxis deal in which the ED has already questioned his son, Karti.
He was called yesterday for the questioning in the case but he sought another date to comply with the Central Bureau of Investigation notice, they said.
