West Bengal SSC scam: The charge sheet was filed on the 58th day of their arrest under various sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The former minister in the TMC-led government in West Bengal and his "close associate" were arrested by the ED in July.
Chatterjee, the now-suspended Trinamool Congress leader, was arrested by the ED last month in connection with its investigation into irregularities in the recruitment of teachers by the School Service Commission.

West Bengal SSC scam: As Partha Chatterjee deboarded a vehicle after being taken to ESI Hospital at Joka for a medical check-up, and was approached by reporters with questions regarding the scam, Chatterjee said, "The money (recovered) is not mine.”
Some of the bank accounts of Partha Chatterjee's close relatives and associates are also under the ED scanner.
Partha Chatterjee, a 69-year-old leader, who is in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate, was taken to ESI hospital at Joka on the southern outskirts of the city for a medical check up during the day.
Bengal SSC Scam: According to sources, only one white Mercedes car was seized at the time of Arpita's arrest.
Abhishek Banerjee, following a meeting of the party's disciplinary committee, also said that doors of TMC would be opened for Chatterjee only if he is proven innocent.
