Papon tweeted "Blessed to have spent time with this greatness of a personality with a heart of a child." He added that he regretted not being able to meet Maharaj ji again "for what I dreamt with him".
Papon is back with a new track, and fans are excited. Titled "Haate haat dhori", he has dedicated the Assamese song to his parents, folk singers Archana Mahanta and late Khagen Mahanta. The song was released on Saturday, to mark the seventh death anniversary of his father.
On the 80th birth anniversary of Jagjit Singh on Monday, singer Papon has paid a musical tribute to the ghazal legend by releasing his rendition of the ghazal, Dost ban ban ke.
Singer Papon recently entertained his fans with an impromptu performance in Goa.
The concert series featuring Shankar Mahadevan, Papon, Vishal Dadlani, and other top musicians will launch on YouTube and social media platforms of all the artistes on April 24 at 9 pm.
