Signalling a small sign of progress in the ongoing ceasefire talks, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that the authority of its hostage negotiators will be expanded. Israel is sending negotiators to Paris on Friday as people in Gaza seek to avoid a military assault in Rafah.
The Health Ministry in Gaza 107 bodies were brought in the last 24 hours, bringing the death count of Palestinians to 29,092. Israel's offensive has driven most of the population homeless and triggered a humanitarian catastrophe with low food and water and medical services severely disrupted.

During the conversation with PM Modi, Raisi recalled India's struggle for independence and slammed Israel for killing innocent civilians. He supported the idea of an immediate ceasefire between the two warring parties and for humanitarian aid to be provided to Palestinians.
