Ravichandran Ashwin is expected to feature in six of the final seven red-ball matches, Nottinghamshire said in a media release.
Ajinkya Rahane mashed 119 runs off 197 balls for Hampshire in the second innings on Day Three of the match against Nottinghamshire on Wednesday.
Ravichandran Ashwin will join Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara in England for a county stint.
Ashwin, who had taken three wickets in the first innings, took a five-wicket haul in the second innings to set up the big win for his team.
Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara will also feature on the English circuit this season.
