As the top U.S. diplomat jetted to South Korea for follow-up talks Wednesday, much of Asia was still trying to process the whirlwind events of the day before.
Kim and Trump held the first ever bilateral summit between the leaders of their respective nations on June 12.

Trump was received by Lee at the presidential palace Istana, where they were expected to discuss everything from the summit preparations to the US' tariff threats.

Speaking in a series of Friday interviews, Pompeo said that would include any possible clandestine sites unknown to those outside North Korea.

Running against time, US and North Korean officials are having three separate meetings in New York, Singapore and at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea.
North Korean Vice Chairman of the Central Committee Kim Yong-chol is arriving in New York and will meet with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo later this week.
In a statement, the White House said, " Trump and Abe affirmed the shared imperative of achieving the complete and permanent dismantlement of North Korea’s nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and ballistic missile programs.”
Trump withdrew from a planned June 12 Singapore summit with Kim last Thursday, but quickly announced that it could get back on track.
Moon said North Korea and the United States will soon start working-level talks to prepare for the Kim-Trump summit.
Trump appeared to be optimistic even about the cancelled June 12 summit in Singapore. "It could be even on 12th June, he said in response to a question. "We will see what happens," said the US President.

Pyongyang described the US president's decision to pull the plug on the highly anticipated meeting as "extremely regrettable".
