The Nithari murder and rape case was unveiled after skeletal remains were found behind accused Pandher’s bungalow in Noida’s Nithari, on December 29, 2006. Most of these remains were that of poor children and young women who had gone missing from the area.
The Uttar Pradesh Police had initially probed the sensational killings which came to light in December 2006 with the discovery of the skeletal remains of eight children from a drain in Nithari in Noida. The case was later handed over to the CBI.
