One of the convicts in the brutal Nirbhaya gangrape case from 2012, collapsed in his jail cell when he was told that he was being moved to a cell hear the hanging courtyard. Vinay, who was in cell 4, got a panic attack when he was told that he was being shifted to another cell from where he would be taken for his hanging.
The Delhi government on Thursday rejected the mercy plea of one of the convicts Mukesh in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. The mercy plea was then forwarded to Lieutenant Governor, who has now sent it to Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

The convicts could have filed a petition challenging the death penalty and also a review petition. However, all the convicts have not sought a review of the sentence.
