PFI crackdown: With the filing of chargeheet in the Delhi case on Saturday (March 18), the total number of accused chargesheeted in PFI cases across the country by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) now stands at 105, a spokesperson of the federal agency said.
NIA teams are currently conducting raids throughout Jammu and Kashmir. The locations of this NIA raid are Anantnag, Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama. The majority of those whose homes are being searched are connected to Jamaat-e-Islami.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) also seized digital gadgets during the search operation.
NIA said these attachments and seizures have been done in the wake of the recent searches conducted at 76 locations linked with gangsters and their associates in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi/ NCR in February this year.
Zargar was earlier associated with Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front and was responsible for several terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He has also been involved in other heinous crimes, including murders, and has close association with other terror outfits such, as Al-Qaeda and JeM.
After conducting the searches, the NIA is probing two suspects in the terror conspiracy case, a spokesperson of the federal agency said.

The NIA, which is probing terror funding cases involving Dawood Ibrahim and his syndicate, has further revealed that operatives of the D-company get special treatment at Pakistan's Karachi airport.
The NIA has recorded the statement of Ali Shah Parkar, the son of Haseena Parkar, sister of Dawood Ibrahim, who revealed that the gangster is planning to target prominent politicians and businessmen in the country.
The case was initially registered on July 14 last year at the Phulwarisharif police station, and re-registered by the NIA eight days later.
Kerala NIA raid: According to sources, the offices and houses of the second layer leaders of Popular Front of India were searched today by NIA.
The case relates to terror activities of chiefs/members of proscribed terrorist organizations, such as Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International, International Sikh Youth Federation etc.
The raids come a day after the NIA carried out a search operation at 14 locations in Jammu and Kashmir near the premises of suspected terror outfits.
Gangsters-terrorist nexus: According to reports, the agency conducted searches at two locations in Sirsa to dismantle and disrupt the emerging nexus between terrorists, gangsters and weapon suppliers based in India and abroad.
The murder had caused riots in different places, terrorised people into leaving their jobs, and made many go into hiding and many to fear for their lives and security.
The NIA official said all nine arrests were made from the Trichy special camp housing Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka.
