The property was believed to have been purchased in the late 1990s by Jamat-e-Islami (JeI) and was registered in Geelani’s name who used to live till early 2000.

An NIA official related to probe said that the agency sleuths along with the CRPF are carrying out searches at multiple locations in several districts of J&K.
Multiple NIA teams carried out simultaneous raids at these locations that include Pulwama, Shopian, Srinagar, Anantnag, Jammu and Banihal this morning in connection with two terror cases.
The raid was carried out at the residence of Wani alias Bardana, of Achgoza Keller in South Kashmir's Pulwama. He had claimed his business was stalled after India banned cross border trading in the wake of Pulwama attack on February 14 this year.
