NIA raided over 60 locations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today and arrested a person from the Satya Sai district and recovered weapons from the location.
The MHA took the decision to hand over the case to the NIA following a meeting with UK representatives last week, the sources indicated.
As per the investigating agency, the duo had arranged weapons and ammunition to carry out targeted killings in several regions of the state.

As per a statement, the NIA recovered Rs 20 lakh from drug proceeds, 130 live 9 mm rounds, mobile phones, pen drive, one bunch of polythene bags used for packing heroin, one car, a two-wheeler, documents related to properties, and other incriminating documents.
The raids were conducted against Syed Bukhari, a resident of Chennai; Hassan Ali Yunusmaricar, a native of Nagapattinam; Mohammed Yusuffudeen Harish Mohamed, a native of Nagapattinam and others.
A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday searched the residence of a businessman in Srinagar in connection with a terror funding case, police sources said.
