Sidhu's assertion comes amid the ongoing war of words between several Congress leaders from Punjab with former chief minister Amarinder Singh over the latter's friendship with Pakistani journalist Aroosa Alam.
Punjab Congress Chief Sidhu's remark came two days after Amarinder Singh said he would launch his own political party and that he was hopeful of a seat arrangement with the BJP, provided the ongoing farmers' stir against farm laws was resolved in the agriculturists' interest.
Earlier, there was a tussle between Sidhu and former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh which eventually resulted in the later's exit from the party.
Earlier on Friday, Sidhu had said his concerns have been resolved and the party asserted that he will continue as the head of the state unit.
