The federation is working with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in this regard and there are chances that the number of support staff could go up.
The Olympic-bound Indian shooting team is currently in Croatia on a training-cum-competition tour, at the end of which, it will fly directly to Tokyo.
As many as 191 athletes from 33 countries have entered the fray and for the first time.
Elavenil shot a modest 627.5 to come out on top; Shahu shot 623.8 to settle for second place as Japan's Naoya Okada shot a solid 630.9 for gold.

This is the second time in two months that the camp has been postponed, the first being in August, when NRAI was forced to call it off in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shooters such as World Cup medallist Sanjeev Rajput, Manu Bhaker and Anish Bhanwala have been training at the Dr Karni Singh Ranges in New Delhi, venue for NRAI national camp.
Reviewing the decision taken during the emerging meeting of its governing council on July 14, the NRAI said the "health and safety of its shooters and coaches was of paramount importance" in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NRAI said in a statement that it has not sanctioned any such tournament in the country.
The IOC said the Olympic qualification status has been withdrawn from only the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.
This situation goes against the fundamental principles of the Olympic charter, in particular, the principles of non-discrimination, said the IOC.
In the elections held on Friday during the General Assembly meeting in Munich, Raninder secured 161 votes to make it to the coveted position.
