Mumbai Rains: Mumbaikars woke up with heavy rainfalls on Tuesday following which over 20 people have been killed in rain-related wall collapse incident. According to reports, the road in Sangharsh Nagar caved on Tuesday due to heavy downpour in Chandiwali area. As a safety precaution, nearby buildings have been evacuated on Tuesday.

In 2005 also, Mumbai faced severe floods. That year had recorded 944 mm (37.17 inches) of rainfall within 24 hours on 26 July.
As per the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts on June 9.
