The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on June 4 had predicted that the monsoon is likely to reach into remaining Kerala, Lakshadweep some more parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, some parts of coastal and south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.

The weather forecasting agency predicted heavy falls with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty wind over Kerala, Tamil and Karnataka during the next 24 hours.
A low pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal on June 11 and catalyse the advance of southwest monsoon into West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar, the Met department said in Kolkata on Friday.
