The incident took place on June 9 near Sports Authority of India (SAI) campus at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, where the complainant had gone to attend a camp for the junior girl grapplers.
A case was registered against the five accused on Sunday for gangrape, wrongful restraint, thrashing and molestation and other relevant sections of the IPC, Industrial Area police station in-charge Kishor Singh Bhati said.
When contacted, Monserrate claimed that no such incident has happened. He said that he was present at the site only to oversee the demolition work being conducted by the civic body.
According to the police, the girls complained that he used to "touch them inappropriately" and warned them against informing anyone.
