Bhagwat said there is a perception that the RSS plays a key role in the functioning of a particular party, a reference to the BJP, because of the presence of many of its workers in that organisation, but it is wrong.

On the first day of the conclave, "Bhavishya Ka Bharat -- An RSS Perspective", Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said the event was being organised so that people could understand the organisation.
With "Hindutva" as the central theme, the highlight will be talks to be delivered on all three days by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, presenting the Sangh's view on various contemporary issues of national importance.
Earlier on Friday, speaking at the second World Hindu Congress in Chicago, Bhagwat made a clarion call to the Hindu community and urged them to work for the betterment of the mankind.
The RSS chief pointed out that Hindus neither oppose anybody nor aspire to dominate and said that the key to unite the world is to control ego and accepting the consensus.

"We have to come together," Bhagwat said, noting that all the people need not to register under one umbrella.
While Rahul Gandhi has accused the RSS of dividing people, Mohan Bhagwat claimed that the Sangh is trying to unite people.

Ratan Tata had earlier on December 29, 2016, paid a surprise visit to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on his 79th birthday which his spokesperson then had termed as a “courtesy call”.
"When he (Mukherjee) was with a party, he belonged to them (Congress), but when he became the President of the country, he belonged to the whole country.
"Vajpayee is stable. He continues to respond well to treatment and is being monitored closely by a team of doctors," AIIMS reiterated in a late evening update.

Earlier, he visited the birth place of the RSS founding Sarsanghachalak Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Mukherjee was welcomed by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The event is hogging all the limelight as controversy erupted ever since Former President and the Congress veteran Pranab Mukherjee accepted the invite as the Chief Guest here.
Cautioning the government against “losing control and ownership of its skies”, Bhagwat said Air India’s operations have not been managed properly.
