The months of March, April and May are "likely to be warmer than normal" over northwest, west, central and parts of south India, the India Meteorological Department said on Friday in its summer forecast.
Punjab and Haryana's joint capital Chandigarh, which received rains for the second consecutive day, recorded a low of 13.1 degrees Celsius, a Meteorological Department official said.

Heavy rainfall will lash many parts of Odisha during the next four days with a fresh low-pressure area building up over the Bay of Bengal, a MeT official said here Tuesday. Odisha has been battered by heavy downpour triggered by three low-pressure areas formed earlier this month over the Bay of Bengal.
