Superstar Vijay’s latest film Mersal, which was released in Tamil, is inching close to Rs 200 crore. The film has already made a handsome business of Rs 150 crore so far.
The Tamil blockbuster Mersal, featuring Vijay, which was in news due to the protest related to GST, will now be released in Telugu.
Directed by Atlee, the movie also features Nithya Menon, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal in pivotal roles.
Mersal featuring actor Vijay has reportedly minted Rs 200 crore, worldwide.
"Let's not use CBFC for some commercial reasons or for somebody's political career", says Prasoon Joshi.
"Why will we delay (the release of Telugu version of ‘Mersal')? You should respect the process", said Prasoon Joshi.
The Telugu version of Vijay starrer Mersal, titled Adhirindhi, was set to release today.
Mersal's album features four songs -- in trademark A.R. Rahman style -- that are linked to the storyline and bring out the narrative in a way that it adds to the essence of the film.

The BJP had demanded removal of comments critical of GST and Digital India in "Mersal", that stars Vijay.
In a tweet this afternoon, Rahul chided Prime Minister Narendra Modi over ‘interference’ and asked him not to ‘demon-etise Tamil pride’ by such intervention.
"BJP demands deletion of dialogues in 'Mersal'. Imagine the consequences if 'Parasakthi' was released today," Chidambaram tweeted.
