The body of the Maoist, identified as that of Dinesh Koda, with his throat slit was found in Satdharba jungle around 10 PM on Thursday, Munger Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangla said.
"The FIR was lodged at Satbarwa police station of Palamau district on Sunday. The FIR was lodged based on compliant of the mother of the three-year-old girl," said Ajay Linda, SP, Palamau.
"The exchange of fire took place around 6 am in the forest near Dhurbeda village, located around 20 km away from Orchha police station in the district. It occurred when a DRG team was out on a counter-insurgency operation," Director General of Police (DGP) D M Awasthi told PTI.
