Delhi Liquor Case: Politics over Delhi liquor policy intensified as AAP leader and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is set to be questioned by CBI. The development is important as AAP had earlier claimed that Sisodia might be arrested before the crucial elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
Manish Sisodia raised questions about the situation in Delhi and cited some recent incidents of crimes in the national capital.
The CBI has asked Sisodia to be in its headquarters on Monday at 11 a.m. for questioning in the excise policy scam case.
Excise policy scam: The agency has also arrested Vijay Nair, an AAP worker and the former CEO of Only Much Louder, an entertainment and event management company, and Hyderabad-based businessman Abhishek Boinpally, officials said.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the Finance portfolio, said, "Amidst rising inflation, this is a big step taken in the interest of the labour class. Delhi government has hiked the dearness allowance for the unskilled working class in the capital."
