The State BJP legislature party meeting in Imphal on Sunday unanimously elected Manipur caretaker CM N Biren Singh to be the chief minister again.
Gehlot remarks came after Sibal triggered a row with his comments that the Gandhis should step aside and give other leaders a chance to lead the Congress.

The term of the current Manipur government began on March 20, 2017, and is slated to end on March 19, 2022. Manipur witnessed a hung Assembly in the previous polls in 2017.
Responding after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's statements on Tuesday that EVMs are being comprised, the poll body said, "Some rumors related to EVMs were spread which is wrong. Action has been taken. Commission has directed CEO UP to take action against such rumour mongers."
