Banerjee, who heads West Bengal's Global Advisory Board (GAB) and advises the state government on issues related to the pandemic, said that boosting the state’s economy is directly related to the revival of the country's economy as it is under stress due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
"Didi Ke Bolo" (Talk to Didi), is a helpline for people to reach out to the government with their grievances. Thanking the people for their support and acknowledgement, she further wrote: "We take note of their valuable suggestions and are committed to working overtime to resolve their grievances to an extent possible in an expeditious manner."
Banerjee said that important institutions of the country are being headed by retired bureaucrats, who are acting as "yes men" of the government. "What is going on in Kashmir? The government is using brute force to scuttle all voices of dissent in the Valley," she said while addressing a students rally here.
