Former Goa chief minister Luizinho Faleiro, who resigned from Congress, has joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Kolkata on Wednesday.
Faleiro, who previously served two terms as a Chief Minister of Goa, submitted his resignation on Monday as an MLA to the Speaker of Goa Assembly ahead of state Assembly elections next year.
Earlier, TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said the party will explore political opportunities outside West Bengal and will enter the poll scene in Goa in the coming days.
