Amid the nationwide lockdown, some unidentified persons broke into a wine shop in New Delhi and decamped with liquor bottles, police said on Saturday.
A liquor shop in Chand Bagh was allegedly looted by a mob which used the bottles during the violence in the area in northeast Delhi, according to the shop manager who said he had called the police twice through the emergency number.
The entire cash amount and other items belonging to the post office were found intact in the bag, which appears to have been thrown away by those who had taken it in view of police searches and the risk of getting arrested.
The burglars broke into the cash counter of the cable car corporation at famous tourist resort of Gulmarg during the intervening night of June 23-24 and decamped with Rs 50 lakh, a police official said.
