Over 2.32 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise in this phase in UP. As many as 25,874 polling booths have been set up in 13,979 polling centres in the final phase, the Election Commission said.
Voting began at 7 a.m. in the constituencies of Patiala, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar (SC), Hoshiarpur (SC), Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib (SC), Faridkot (SC), Ferozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur and Gurdaspur. Polling will end at 6 p.m.
Polling began at 7 am in Shimla (SC), Mandi, Hamirpur and Kangra.
The electorate also includes 22,00,119 female and 21 third gender voters.
Altogether 157 candidates including four Union Ministers are in the fray in the seventh and final phase of polling in Bihar.
The Lok Sabha polls 2019 saw seven phases from April 11 till May 19 -- interspersed with sporadic incidents of violence, long-drawn road shows and emotion-driven rallies.
