Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday rejected opposition's claim that 'jungle raj' prevailed in the state, saying there was no law-and-order issues and hailed the police force for its action in the Puri triple murder case.
On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with officials to review the law-and-order situation. The meeting assumes significance as in the past few days, the state has witnessed a spate of heinous crimes -- ranging from rapes of toddlers, incidents of crime against women and even an attack on a journalist.

The Centre had expressed "deep concern" over continuing violence in the state, saying the "unabated violence" even after the Lok Sabha polls appears to be a failure on part of the state government.
