The charge against Lasith Malinga came from his response to criticism by Sri Lanka's sports minister over the team's fitness levels.
Since his return during the Champions Trophy, Malinga has twice acted in contravention of the terms of the agreement which specifically bar him from making any statements to the media without the prior consent of the Chief Executive Officer.
