Lalu Prasad Yadav has been convicted in the Rs 139.5 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on the former Bihar chief minister in the 5th fodder scam case.
Urging his party cadre not to lose heart, Tejashwi Yadav said, "the order passed today is not a finality. We will seek justice before the High Court of Jharkhand. If need be, we will move the Supreme Court".
Lalu Prasad returned to Patna in October after over three years. He was imprisoned in fodder scam cases.
The statement comes amid a strained relationship being witnessed between his two sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi over the leadership of the party.

Ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted to Delhi from Jharkhand's Ranchi.
