RJD chief Lalu Prasad arrived in Medininagar to appear before a special court in connection with a 13-year-old case pertaining to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct during elections.

The 73-year-old Prasad has been in custody following his conviction and sentence by a CBI court in February in a fodder scam case involving embezzlement of over Rs 139 crore from Doranda treasury.
A medical board of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi has referred Lalu to AIIMS New Delhi.
Lalu Prasad Yadav has been convicted in the Rs 139.5 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on the former Bihar chief minister in the 5th fodder scam case.
Urging his party cadre not to lose heart, Tejashwi Yadav said, "the order passed today is not a finality. We will seek justice before the High Court of Jharkhand. If need be, we will move the Supreme Court".
