Three Rajya Sabha seats from Delhi will fall vacant by the end of this month when the tenure of Congress members Janardhan Dwivedi, Parvez Hashmi and Karan Singh end.
This comes a day after Kumar Vishwas alleged that he was punished for saying the truth about AAP supremo Kejriwal's decisions and that he accepted his "martyrdom".
The poet-politician did not react to Rai's allegations. Vishwas had yesterday alleged that he was punished for saying the truth about Kejriwal's decisions and that he accepted his "martyrdom".
The disgruntled AAP leader also accused Kejriwal of planning his political execution since long.
Accusing unknown AAP party members of being insecure of Kumar Vishwas' stature, Patel said if he is not nominated, the party will miss an opportunity.
Elections to three Rajya Sabha seats from Delhi would be held on January 16. The AAP, which enjoys a brute majority in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, is all set to win all the three seats.
The party also distanced itself from Kumar Vishwas' assertion against caste-based reservations, and expressed support for quota in education, jobs and in elections.
AAP leader Kumar Vishwas on Sunday said the party was holding dialogue with those who left the outfit, including Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, to facilitate their return to the party fold.
