The Madras High Court on Tuesday held that the Puducherry Lt Governor "cannot interfere" in the day-to-day affairs of the elected government of the Union Territory.
"All must exercise their right to vote without fear or favour. The rule of law shall prevail and all administrative systems shall work with utmost fairness and firmness," she said.
Narayanasamy also said the dharna outside the assembly was also called off immediately after the meeting.
