After Kashmir received an unexpected bout of snowfall on Saturday, the most breathtaking view of a snow clad train entering an equally snow covered Sadura Railway Station, Baramulla-Banihal could be seen in a viral video.
The tourists were rescued by Snow Bike union who were stuck in a snow-covered mountainous region amid heavy winds. All the tourists were brought to the Gondola base safely.
Gulmarg, the famous skiing resort in north Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam, which serves as the base camp for the annual Amarnath yatra, recorded a low of minus 0.2 degrees Celsius.
The tourists, mostly residents of Delhi, were returning from the hill station when the accident took place near Kud, over 100 km from here, in the evening, the officials said.
