Karnataka news: According to police, the accident occurred on Belligatti cross on the Bengaluru-Pune Highway. While three of the deceased are from Hassan, one is from Bengaluru.
As per preliminary information, the car was en route from Hospet to Tumakuru when the accident happened.
The police said that 19 people were travelling in two autos when the accident happened.
Six people were killed and two injured grievously after the car they were travelling in collided head-on with a state government bus at Sampaje Gate in Kodagu district.
Karnataka news: The accident happened near the city of Tumakuru located 70 kilometres Northwest of Bengaluru.
Karnataka Ambulance crash: The incident took place at Shiroor tollgate near Kundapura. The video, which went viral on social media, showed toll plaza employees clearing the way for an ambulance.
