Ivan Rakitic has left Barcelona to rejoin Sevilla on a two-year deal.
Neither the club nor the coach have said publicly who is staying and who is leaving, but those four players reportedly have already been told that they are not in Koeman’s plans.
The Croatian has been part of the La Liga giants since 2014, but has fallen out of contention ever since Barcelona roped in Frenkie de Jong. And hence, Rakitic has only been part of 10 out of Barcelona's 27 fixtures so far.
Rakitic has won a Champions League and four Spanish leagues for Barcelona, while also helping Croatia reach last year's World Cup final.
"With Sergio Busquets, Rakitic and all the others also playing in the middle, Barcelona's midfield looks good. I would not allow Rakitic to leave, if I were a part of their team," said Iniesta.
The Spanish club did not estimate how long Rakitic would be out, although this type of injury typically takes around three weeks to heal.
