Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched India’s largest LVM3 rocket carrying 36 satellites from Sriharikota.
Chandrayaan-3 mission would have a similar structure as that of Chandrayaan-2, with the orbiter, a lander and a rover.
The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) has been handed over to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) by the US Air Force C-17 aircraft in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone for US-India space collaboration.
NISAR stands for NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar is expected to be launched in 2024 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh.
An uninhabited area in the Pacific Ocean between 5 degrees south to 14 degrees south latitude and 119 degrees west to 100 degrees west longitude was identified as the targeted re-entry zone for MT1.
An ISRO-launched satellite that was designed for 5 years has now completed a decade and is expected to provide service for more years.
Chandrayaan-3: ISRO successfully conducted a key rocket engine test which was carried out for a planned duration of 25 seconds.
India's Chandrayaan-3 moon mission has passed the EMI/EMC test, ensuring the functionality and electromagnetic compatibility of satellite subsystems, in a major boost for the mission's objectives of safe landing and roving on the lunar surface, and performing scientific observations.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is gearing up for the second demonstration mission of its new offering, the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV). The mission is a significant step forward in the SSLV development phase, which failed on its first launch.
ISRO SSLV D2 launch: The SSLV-D2 soared into the skies at around 9:18 am from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre and attempt to put three satellites into a 450 km circular orbit during its 15 minute flight, the Indian Space Research Organisation said.
NISAR satellite launch: ISRO and NASA joined hands in 2014 to build the 2,800 kg satellite. In March 2021, ISRO sent its S-Band SAR payload developed in India to NASA for integration with the L-Band payload built by JPL.
iCET is being launched at the direction of US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who after their Tokyo meeting in May 2022 had announced to elevate and expand the strategic technology partnership and defense industrial cooperation between the governments.
The direction came after satellite images released by the Indian Space Research Organisation showed the rapid rate of subsidence in Joshimath between Dec 27 and January 8, fuelling concerns over the situation.
Joshimath Sinking: The administration is in constant touch with the affected people, he said, adding that basic facilities are being provided to them at the relief camps. Dhami said the decisions taken by the state cabinet on Friday are in the larger interest of those affected by land subsidence.
The NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) Mission will measure the Earth's changing ecosystems, dynamic surfaces, and ice masses to provide information about biomass, natural hazards, sea level rise, and groundwater and will support a host of other applications.
Joshimath sinking: The land subsidence was slow between April and November 2022, during which Joshimath had sunk by 8.9 cm. But between December 27, 2022, and January 8, 2023, the intensity of land subsidence increased and the town sank by 5.4 cm in these 12 days.
ISRO 2023 missions: The upcoming year will also witness a series of experiments on India's maiden human space flight- Gaganyaan project- with the first uncrewed mission expected in the last quarter of 2023.
ISRO espionage case: The matter was remanded back to the high court by a bench of justices MR Shah and CT Ravikumar, who directed it to decide the issue within four weeks.
As per the conditions, ISRO has to follow the guidelines of the Storage and Transportation of Explosives Committee (STEC) for the construction of buildings for the manufacture, storage, transportation and use of explosives.
PSLV-C54 launch: The Earth Observation Satellite-6 is the third-generation satellite in the Oceansat series. This is to provide continuity services of Oceansat-2 spacecraft with enhanced payload specifications as well as application areas.
