More than 13,300 Palestinians have been killed since the war began on October 7, roughly two-thirds of them women and minors, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, which does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
This is the first time in two decades that an Israeli Prime Minister has made an official visit to Gaza, where over 14,000 people have been killed in the ongoing war. Netanyahu had promised to resume the war with full force once the truce period expires.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) had previously said that the al-Shifa hospital was "no longer functioning" due to diminishing supplies and continued fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas militants. Thousands of Palestinians are reportedly sheltering there.

On the previous day, Israeli forces attacked and killed Hamas official Muhsin Abu Zina, who was allegedly responsible for the group's weapons production. The Israeli military has claimed to have killed several militants in their operations, but Hamas denied that they are making big gains in Gaza.
According to the IDF, Muhsin Abu Zina was responsible for the production of weapons for Hamas and was the group's leader of the "industries and weaponry" division. Additionally, the Israeli military claimed to have eliminated several terrorists of a squad responsible for attacking Israel.
Ibrahim Biari was the commander of Hamas' Central Jabaliya Battalion who was also responsible for previous attacks against Israel, including the 2004 Ashdod Port bombings. The IDF claimed that several terrorists were killed alongside Biari.
Hamas is currently holding 239 people hostage in the beleaguered Gaza Strip and has reportedly demanded Israel to allow fuel supply in the territory. So far, only four hostages have been released by Hamas in talks mediated by Qatar.

At the United Nations, India called for a negotiated two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine issue. It advocated for the establishment of a sovereign, independent and viable state of Palestine, which could live within secure and recognised borders, side by side in peace with Israel.

Israel-Hamas war: Israeli strike hit a residential building in Gaza on Monday, resulting in the killing of at least 30 civilians. As per local media reports, the building was located in the al-Shuhada area of the Jabalia refugee camp.
