Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh killed in attack on his residence in Iran

Haniyeh, 62, was the chief of Hamas' political bureau and was designated as a "specially designated" global terrorist by the United States. He was residing in Qatar and was the face of Hamas' diplomatic efforts as he participated in peace talks to end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
